There is a huge difference between actually creating the life you want as opposed to reacting to what life throws your way.
When you stop and really take a good look at your world,do you see a life of exciting and endless possibilities, or is it more like a road of broken dreams?
You may find this hard to believe but you and you alone have the ability to make your life a paradise. Life can offer you never ending choices or continuous road blocks stopping you where ever you turn.
If you are reading this article you may be looking for that road that leads you to realizing all of your dreams. The one(s) that you see other people creating but you just can’t seem to get there.
Maybe you have been there but you can’t seem to stay there. The most important thing to know about creating the life you want is you have that ability and you always have. There is no need to search for this ability or think it’s out of your reach. All you have to do is recognize it within your self.
Negative Thinking
Let’s look at the first thoughts you had this morning. What did you think about when you woke up?
Do you know what your first thought was? Really stop here a minute and think back to that very first thought.
Was it, “I feel tired?” Or “It’s a gorgeous day!”
Let’s say you had the thought,” I feel tired.” That thought leads to the next thought.
”Why am I up this early? I should be sleeping. “ And the next thought may be,” I can’t believe I have to go to work again.”
The Positive Side
Now let’s try the other side. You’re the person who woke up saying, “It’s a gorgeous day !”
Your next thought may be.
“I’m excited to get up and get going.”
“I have so many new ideas I can’t wait to get to the office or start my job so I can apply them.”
This is where the creating begins. It’s noticing what you are actually saying to yourself that is important here. Right now at this beginning point it really doesn’t matter what you are saying, only that you know what it is your saying.
If you’re not aware of what you saying to yourself you may wonder why some days are good and other days are not. Basically you’re letting the day control you. You aren’t the one doing the creating you are reacting.
If you start your day saying anything that is negative it can and will most likely get out of control. Even if it’s something small like I have to clean my house it’s a mess.
Once this thought pattern starts to get on a roll it runs away from you.
“I barely have time to brush my teeth how am I supposed to clean the house?”…”well if you made more money you could hire a maid”…etc.
Most likely you don’t even know you are having these kinds of thoughts, let alone that it is creating a huge avalanche and is now running away with your day, right down the dead end hill.

Self Awareness
A major factor is self awareness. For the next couple of days just start to notice what you are saying to your self, not only in the morning but all through out the day.
When I first tried this exercise I was shocked to find out all the things I was telling myself all day long. No wonder I was down , I was being so hard on myself that I felt like packing it in around noon!
When you are creating you need to know what needs tweaking. The first thing I did was just to notice what I was telling myself all day, as if I were a bystander simply observing.
I discovered that when I would make a mistake I wanted to go over,” how could I do that?” “Didn’t I know that would happen?” I even had the nerve to tell myself,” I told you not to do that.” It was really crazy.
This would go on much too long. The voices in my head saying the same thing over and over. Did I think I didn’t hear myself the first time? Apparently not, I wanted to continue this rant until I made absolute sure that would never happen again.
By the way, that is extremely exhausting. :)
This constant badgering would be enough to put anyone in a bad mood. As I paid more attention to what I was saying I realized the tone I used with myself was rude and I seemed to yell a lot.
I wouldn’t dream of talking to a friend like this, so why was I talking to myself this way?
”Why Am I Talking to Myself This Way?
That is a great question, “Why am I talking to myself this way?” Now that I was aware of what was going on I was able to change it.
Most people are aware they have this voice inside of them whether they call it their critical parent, their Gremlin or their ego they are aware of this voice.
I have found there are many people who don’t realize at all what they are saying to themselves, yet they are very hard on themselves or they are looking at the world through mud colored glasses. If you are feeling bad and you’re not sure why, that is a sign that your inner critic is talking and it’s not saying how wonderful you are.
One suggestion here is when you first hear your inner critic and it’s saying something negative, right then on the very first thought, stop and say…”No judgment.!” Do not let this dialogue continue.
If it goes too long and usually five or six thoughts are much too long, you are now caught up in the emotion of the negative self talk.
It is more difficult to come back from that place then if you never let it take you there in the beginning. This requires your full attention.
By paying attention you can catch the critical self talk at the beginning.

Starting First Thing in the Morning Creating Your Day
The morning is the most important time to start creating your day, with the thoughts that inspire and motivate you. Don’t wait for something to happen so that can set the tone of your day. You set the tone of your day!
If you burned the toast, and say, “It’s going to be that kind of day”, your right it will be “that kind of day.”
Instead if you started out the morning with positive thoughts and actions even if the toast does burn, you won’t think of it as anything other then, the toast burned, I need to put in another piece of bread.
Excellent Ways to Start the Day
If you’re not a morning person and you wake up in a less then happy mood, I understand I used to feel like that sometimes. Now the morning is my favorite time.
I’m so excited to get up everyday I can’t wait. The earlier the better! I love how quite and peaceful it is. I can easily fit in my meditating and reading before I start the day.
I know how important it is to start the day off great. If I was feeling low when I woke up, I would do something that would get me laughing. Something a bit goofy, but then again it made me laugh which releases positive endorphins that send signals to your brain that makes you feel good.
The Wake Up Call
I will share with you what I used to do. Don’t laugh, just try and imagine this. Okay you can laugh…:) I would start out low and build up to a loud scream and at the top of my lungs I would say:
”GOOOOOOOD MOOOOORNING VIEEEEEEEITNAAAAAAMMMMMMM!!!!!!”
I did this so seriously and loud it cracked me up every time.
And let me tell you if anyone else was around and heard this…they started laughing too and before you know it…I’m feeling good their feeling good, it’s all good!
Another great way to start out creating the day is turning on happy music. You know the music that really makes you want to dance. This should be music that makes you feel great to be alive. It’s perfect music for the morning.
If you feel like dancing and singing, do it. Right there in the bedroom or bathroom, start dancing and moving to the music. Be silly and really let go.
This will not only elevate your mood and release positive endorphins but it may be entertaining to anyone else who happens to see it.

You Can Start Applying These Concepts ...Today!
They are creating the energy and brightness that will start your day on the right path. I love starting my day by reading a portion of what I call my morning books. They are always, always, always…positive, spiritual and up lifting books.
The kind that really get you moving. When I’m reading them, every other sentence out of my mouth is,” of course”,” I knew that!” “ I love it!”, “exactly,” those kinds of books.
I can’t tell you how important that is when you are creating the life you want. Part of the creative process is having a great foundation, which to build. What you listen to, read and watch everyday is setting the tone for what you are going to experience.
Taking the creative stance, you are in charge of what goes in your mind. If your starting your day listening to the news and it’s about, war, violence, the next tragedy, who is the thinnest, who is the prettiest and who’s going to jail now and for how long..etc. That is going to effect you, and most likely in a less then positive way.
On the other side when you listen to up lifting music, reading books that get you pumped up and inspired.
You have a funny saying that makes you laugh.
Your paying attention to what you say to yourself and replacing the negative thought with positive ones.
Just imagine what kind of day you are going to have. You’re singing and dancing with all that positive energy.

You Will Have One Fantastic Day!
I can hear you asking “what about the next day?” You start all over again. These are the first four steps to creating the life you want. Really take the time to implement these steps.
If you don’t have the kind of music around that inspires you get some. If you don’t have the books that make you want to conquer the world, find them. If you don’t know what to say to start your day laughing then borrow my saying….it really works.
GOOOOOOOOOD MOOOORING VEEEEITNAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAM!!!!! I’m laughing as I’m writing this. :)
