The miracle I discovered is my life is so much easier when I am not operating from my ego. Picture that for a moment… Can you imagine life without your ego?
Every problem we have comes from the ego…every one. Do you realize this? It is quite astounding when you truly get the magnitude of this concept. I will show you through out this article as you read and share your discovery you will see a new way to live…
Let’s start with taking a minute to stop and think about what your problems are. It can be anything from I don’t have enough money, I don’t have enough love, and I’m not thin enough, good looking enough, smart enough.
I am over worked, stressed out.
Has it ever occurred to you why you are having these problems? Have you ever thought about why you are over worked and stressed out?
You are putting too much pressure on your self, and for what? Are you trying to keep up with the Jones? Are you trying to impress or get the respect from your family and friends? Somehow some way your ego is trying to get approval, otherwise you would not have those problems at all.
Let's take a look at it, if you are not operating from your ego then you are beyond ego and you wouldn’t feel the need to keep up or impress anyone. You wouldn’t be looking for approval and acceptance from anyone either. You could care less about how you look or your age and status. None of that would matter, therefore you would have no problems.
I’m not saying that you can’t have some type of tragedy in your life that would cause you to have a problem, but it is our decision to make if that tragedy is a problem. We create our own problems just like we create our own happiness, it is a decision.
When I first realized this it was quite the revelation,
throw out my ego and I am free,
although that is not as easy as I thought it would be. My inspiration for this concept came from Eckhart Tolle. He is a wonderful spiritual teacher who is really operating with no ego. In my life I don’t think I have had the pleasure of meeting anyone quite like him.
I kept thinking to myself how does he do that? His calm and centered manner inspired me to start an experiment where I would go through my day without my ego.
How did I start down this amazing path to freedom? Everyday I have a ritual that I do, I read inspirational and spiritual books followed by mediation and visualization. Of course that would be the best time to start my new challenge.
The next day before I started my morning mediation I added, “Universe I am now giving you my ego. I have no need for it so I gladly release it to you. I then visually watched it float up and out of body until it disappeared.
You may be wondering What an ego looks like. I pictured it to be like a small white cloud that simply and easily floats out of my head. When I first started to do this, it was wonderful! I realized how almost everything we do in life is somehow attached to the ego psychology. You may not realize this until you too take on this challenge yourself.
I will say that since I started this there are times that I slipped back. Situations will occur and I will feel rejected or upset about a situation and then I stop myself and say hey, “Who gave me back my ego? I didn’t ask for it back that I can remember.” Eckhart Tolle makes it look so easy! I am not even sure he is really human, I think he was dropped from heaven actually but that is another story. :)
I decided I would have to throw it away all over again, the first time obviously didn’t take, which is normal when you are trying something new.
What I am going to share with you now is a big “ah ha moment” When I gave it back again the feelings that had previously came up for me left when my ego left again. Now that is huge! My big revelation at that moment was, what’s the big deal? I didn’t take the situation personally, because my ego was gone. It was something that just happened, period end of story end of drama.

For me when I no longer need to be right, no longer need to win and no longer need approval, those are signs that my ego has left the building. I have learned that I am not my ego and only if I mistake it for who I am, can noticing it in myself become threatening to my sense of self.
I want to offer all of you the same gift so I am asking you to take the challenge and see for yourself how miraculous it can be.
You will soon realize that your life is so much easier, simpler and yes happier. Don’t forget to let us all know about your experience whether its good, bad or just what it is, sharing the benefits of this type of shift is important in helping make this planet the best place ever!
