When I started out with my coaching business I had a plan to reach millions of people world wide through my web site. By offering high value content and problem solving products and it worked perfectly. I went from two unique visitors a day to five hundred unique visitors a day… in just six months that was back in 2007 and things were a little different.

I now have over thirty thousand unique visitors and growing every day I already up-dated this page due to a significant increases in web traffic five times since I up-dated it a week ago.

Increasing your web traffic is a process that you can measure to see your results over time. You won't see a dramatic change overnight but you will see a difference right away and if you stick with it like anything else you will see your sells increase every month along with your web traffic. You want to focus on attracting buyers to your web site that have a need for what you sell.

There are multitudes of ways to earn passive income with your blog and in this article I will share with you the first four vital steps you will take today that will make a nice difference for you tomorrow.

Increase Web Traffic …Tip One

1. In order to increase web traffic you need a strategic plan. The vital component here is NOT to produce what everyone else is putting out. You want to go outside the box and offer something unique that will get your target audience's attention.

Otherwise, you are putting yourself in competition with thousands of other sites sometimes millions that might have an advantage over you.

Your job is to level the playing field making it easier for you to jump into game right now.

One example I will share is I wanted to get on the first page of Google for a the key word, Cosmic Ordering. That is always my goal to land the #1 position on the first page of at least one of the major search engines. For all my key words so this time was nothing new. I have managed to land on the front page for hundreds of keys words that are popular.

What I did was not difficult and it didn't take any additional time. I tuned into my imagination and started to think outside the box. The more outside the box, you go the better the idea.

I ended up with a unique solution no one else was doing while it it filled a need I was ecstatic.

My idea was to create a blog with instructions on how to place a cosmic order. I then had a unique idea and took it one-step further. I made the blog comments where you place your cosmic order so it goes out to the universe. When you do that, your order goes out to the universe to gather the energy it needs to manifest.

Which is all-true if you put out anything to the universe and you expect to get it you will. I made a place where people could place an order right there no waiting no sign up just place your order simple and easy. The company that has the domain name was in the first position on Google, which is usually what happens when you have your keyword as your domain name.

I ended up in that position for six months when my page first hit the Internet, then again last year for months and now the last time I checked I was back at #1. All this for an article I wrote over three years ago.

If you want to increase web traffic be unique and give your material the one thing that no one else can and that is YOU.

If you already have a first page listing you can get two listings on the page to double your chances for more web traffic. You don't even have to write another article which is nice. It comes from your blog responses. When I see a great blog comment that will be of value to people and has at least 100 characters, anything less won't make it on the search engines.

I add my key word in this example it would be, Cosmic Ordering in the title and I put blog comment in the title as well. It usually gets picked up on the first page as well. It gives a different view of what you are offering on your page and a new avenue for web traffic to flow through.

The web pageCosmic Ordering has almost a 1000 blog responses and has pulled in over 360,000 visits to my site over the years. It is still going strong today.

I am still somewhere on the first page of Google for Cosmic Ordering while making passive income from the company that has the domain name. I sell their product on that page.

The Take away here to increase web traffic is be original. Make sure you come up with something that solves a problem and no one else is doing or least no one you know of and you will not have to compete with the masses for that key word. You will stand out that is for sure. Your Content will be original and fill your target markets need.

As long as you have the basics of keyword placement, SEO and great content these first two steps come after that. The next two steps will increase web traffic as well and MANY people over look them.

Increase Web Traffic ...Tip Three

Social bookmarking is another great tool for increasing web traffic. Some of the top social bookmarking sites are:

1. Stumbleupon.com

2. Delicious.Com

3. Digg.Com

Make sure that if you use these bookmarking sites that you do not only list your web site. The idea is to share great web sites with other people.

If you only list your web site then you loose credibility. Simply add other great sites as well. Another valuable tip, add your homepage and about four other top pages on your site. Then blend in some of your favorite sites and add your new web pages as you write them.

Stumble upon is a not only a social book marking site, it is a social networking site that allows you to blog as well. Once again if you work it you will see results.

Increase Web Traffic …Tip Four

Using press releases to get the word out about your web site or new product can be quite effective to increase web traffic if done correctly.

This is the type of traffic that may be short lived but it will get targeted people to your web site. Make sure you send them to a great landing page that has your opt-in for your newsletter this way people get to know you and that makes all the difference. If you do then your press release efforts paid off. These are some valuable tips you will want to implement before you write a press release.

1.Remember it is news not an advertisement keep it objective.

2. Keep it to 300-500 words. If it is much less then that they will not consider it a news release.

3. A great time for a news release is when you have just released a new product, or you have a new seminar or web class.

4. Write it in the third person, keep it objective as if you were a reporter.

5. Your headline should be catchy, something that makes people want to read your press release.

6. Go to: prweb.com

I have had success with free press releases as well. You don't have to spend money to get a press release that contain links back to your site. That is what you want the link back. It helps increase your page rank as well as increasing web traffic.
