Announcing Easy and Effective Ways to Improve Your Communication Skills To Get What You Really Want!

Are your communication skills lacking? Are you tired of not getting what you want because you don’t know how to express it? Do you often feel misunderstood?

In this article I will take you through some motivating and effective ways to communicate. After you finish reading this page you will find new positive and productive ways to get through to your loved ones and or business prospects that you didn’t think was possible.

Get ready for my simple yet effective communication skills that will enhance your relationships and increase your business.

Effective Communication Skills in all your Relationships

Whether you are in a relationship with a significant other, a family member or a business prospect understanding how to express your intentions effectively will make all the difference in the world.

My secret weapon is observation and the ability to tune in and sense someone’s personality. What I mean here is sensing their energy vibration.

When you start to really pay attention you will be amazed at the important information you will pick up. By tuning in you find out what makes the other person tick. You can sense if they are responsive to your energy level if not you can easily adjust that so they feel comfortable with you and this allows the communication to flow easily.

Another thing that comes with observation is the ability to sense what is important to the other person, what they like and don’t like.

If you know the answer to these important questions you will have gained some very valuable information about the person and how to use effective communication skills with them so you can easily get your point across in any situation.

In examining the first point we are looking at what makes the person tick. How do they operate in life? Are they quite? Do they love to talk? Are they up beat? Do they move fast or slow? Really take in what kind of person you are interacting with.

If this is someone you have known for a long time then you will want to pay extra attention to these details. You may feel you know the person so well that you don’t need to try anymore.

The exact opposite is true. This person may have changed and you are still operating on old ideas about who they are. Check in and see if that may be one of the reasons you are having communication problems to begin with. You may be operating under past assumptions.

I will give you an example of poor communication skills and operating under old assumptions. My relationship with my mother was lacking for the longest time because we never really talked to each other. I always felt misunderstood when it came to my mom. She would respond to me in my adult years as if I was still fifteen.

She would often say to me that I didn’t like something or she would tell me how I couldn’t do certain things. I remember thinking I have loved vegetables for ten years now and I learned a long time ago to share with others.

It was scary how we really weren’t communicating with each other. There is a problem when my mother thinks I like the same things and have the same thoughts I had at age fifteen.

Whose fault is that? Both of ours really, I never took the time to let her into my world as I grew up and she never asked. Since that time our relationship is much improved ,we communicate better now then ever but that wasn’t always the case. We had to both make an effort to get to know each other today and let the past go.

Finding out what is important to someone is really about asking questions. Yes a very important part of communication skills is asking questions. If you know what the other person likes and dislikes you will know how to speak to them so they respond positively. That doesn’t mean you adjust what you like or dislike it means that you are going to communicate with them on their level.

When I am in any type of selling situation I always ask as many questions as I can so I know how to present my idea or service in a way that is of value to them. The only way to know what is of value to someone is by asking questions. They will tell you exactly what they like and don’t like. It is up to you to listen.

Your ability to become a chameleon will be particularly beneficial with strengthening your communication skills .

I have found that people are the most comfortable with other people that are like them. If you put yourself in the same rhythm they are in you will bond with them instantly. People respond very well to similarities. Have you ever heard someone say, “Oh you’re just like me.” We are all looking for the similarities so we can share that common bond. When you bond with someone you create an excellent starting point for developing great communication skills.

The last and most important point to make about effective communication skills is listening. Once you ask the questions listen. The true meaning of listening is not waiting for your turn to speak or thinking of what you are going to say when the other person is talking.

One of the biggest compliments you can give another person is your time. If you truly listen you are investing time in the person. You will also come away with some very valuable information about what the person needs and who they are and what they respond to.

Anytime you are talking with someone regarding your product or services listening will always be the key to closing the deal. If you listen your prospect will always tell you what is the most important to them. Once you know that the rest is easy, you now know what you have to say to get their business because you were listening.

Take the time to develop your communication skills and you will see the world open up to you.
