You may be wondering what is a life Coach? Is Life Coaching even right for you? Is it worth the money? Will I have to do this for a long period of time? What can I take away if I only have a few sessions? How do I know who the right Life/Business Coach is for me? Is it like therapy? How can I benefit from a Life Coach? This can leave you feeling stuck. I know I’ve been there myself! One of the beginning steps of Life Coaching is to help guide you to see where you are stuck. What is stopping you from having the ideal life or career you really want?! “What is a Life Coach?“ People who seek out life coaching often realize they have something they want to change or improve on. One of the many things I love about the process of Coaching is it gets right to the point. No fooling around. We dig right in and together we find out what is stopping you. This allows you the room to change. What is a Life Coach? It’s a partnership. Together we get into the life boat you have one paddle I have the other. You let me know where you want to go. I guide you there. . . with me as your Life Coach you will get where you want to go! “What is a Life Coach?“ You have another important part: Willingness It takes being open to new concepts and ideas to make things change in our lives. The more you engage in the process the quicker you will see the results. Your other part is you have is to show up. “What is a Life Coach?“ Not a Therapist. Coaching is dealing with your life or career situation today. We will not be going back into your childhood so you can relive all those horrible old wounds, as much as I know you would love that. :) The differences Therapists are trained in medical and behavioral sciences. They are trained to treat and diagnose conditions. “What is a Life Coach?” I see your brightness, and where you are strong. I also see where you need some development. I am trained to support my client(s) so you can achieve your desired out come. Therapists are obligated to keep their personal feelings and thoughts detached. “What is a Life Coach?” I use my personal experiences as a tool to motivate and challenge you.
“What is Life Coach?“ Action…steps really move the process along. Action is always a major factor in getting results. The problem most of us have is actually taking the steps. Not only will we together define the action steps you will take but I will help keep you focused and on track so you achieve all your goals.
“What is a Life Coach?“ Accountability or lack there of ends a lot of peoples dreams faster then you can say BOO! I know for myself as well as my clients, realizing I have made a commitment with another person to accomplish something is a major motivator. It keeps you on track and focused. “What is a Life Coach?“ Having someone in your corner rooting for you gives additional energy to make it happen. I had a client say to me at the end of one of our sessions. “Wow! It feels great to know I have someone in my corner that I am not doing this alone.” She is right, you’re not doing it alone.
