Building Your Self Esteem by: Dawn Abraham
Dear Omar,
I understand what you are saying and part of it just comes with being young. When we are young we?re not sure of ourselves and we look for validation in other people, often the opposite sex. The problem with that are the only way to truly feel good about yourself is to develop a relationship with you.
Yes it?s not about how do you talk to the opposite sex or how to please them. Once you feel good about who you are your self esteem will attract all people to you.
How do you go about that? It?s a process that starts with action. If you start to do things that are positive and make you feel good about yourself before you know it you start liking that you are.
I also suggest that you get some spiritual books and start to develop that side of you. Wayne Dyer has some great books for that so does Deepak Chopra. Based on what you wrote in your letter I would say a great place to start is with Louise Hay?s book, ?You can heal your life.?
Most of all I want to say to you don?t hold on to something that doesn?t want to be held. That girl you?re talking about is not for you. If you have to try too hard that is a sign that it?s not right. When something is meant to be it flows. That doesn?t mean there are no ripples there are but there won?t be a dam stopping you either.
I wish for you all the love and happiness the universe has to offer.
