It's okay to feel afraid

Hi Vicky! Thanks for the great question. I am sure many many people have the exact same problem. I know I have worked with many throughout my life.

I want to start off by saying it's okay that you are not the life of the party or the most confident person in the room. The world is made up of different types of people, thank God. If we were all the same it would be really crazy and boring.

The first step to feeling more at ease is accepting that your not comfortable in a situation and allowing that to be okay. Try it. The next time you go somewhere don't try to be anything than what you are. Don't push to feel something you don't feel. True confidence comes from self love and acceptance.

I wrote an article that goes into detail about how I did just that and how acceptance/surrender changed my life. Surrender and acceptance go hand in hand they are sisters.

The next thing you want to look at Vicky after acceptance is how much you like and or love yourself. If you are anything like I was that is lacking. In the article What I Found Out About Developing Self Esteem that Changed My Life. I go into detail about how developing a relationship with myself gave me self esteem.

Finally I want to add that your life journey is about discovering your confidence and than sharing with others like I have how you did that. Embrace your life Vicky and look at it from a different perspective.
