Missy it takes a lot of courage to step out of your comfort zone and deal with a issue that has been bothering you for awhile.
It sounds to me like so much of your relief came from actually dealing with the elephant in the room so to say.
When something needs to be dealt with and we push it down not only are we not being true to ourselves but we are taking that energy away from positive things we could be doing in our life and instead using it to push down our feelings. That is why you felt such a relief after just talking to Jeff. That is where the freedom comes in.

What a shame there are people like you about, who are too weak to just be honest. good for you for telling him, but poor guy. he's just wasted 3 years of his life.
