THE GOLD COIN
(after Beinsa Douno)
An archeologist found an ancient gold coin with a precious inscription on it. But as the coin was very dirty, the inscription was illegible. Being a person of comfort, the archeologist did not clean the coin by himself, but payed someone to do it.
What did that guy do? He looked at the coin and said to himself: "I am going to clean it to shine”.
So he sponged it thorouhly out to disclose its natural brightness.
Then he joyfully returned the coin to the archeologist and said: "Sir, I did my job well, look how bright the coin is now!”
The archeologist cast a glance and replied with regret in his voice:
"You have even overdone it, boy. Do you not realize that you have erased everything written on it?"
The ancient coin was precious not because it was made of pure gold, but due to the inscription written on it. The inscription made its true value!
Some people make the same mistake. In their intent for self-improvement and spiritual development, they assiduously cleanse themselves until they begin to shine. When all in them is purified, they are glad and proud to discover that they are made of pure gold. But unfortunately they have inadvertently erased also the inscription which God wrote on them at the beginning of being. Not realizing this, they go to God in joy and satisfaction to show how shining and bright they are. But it is not important to the Prime Source to see that you are made of pure gold. God knows that. What is more substantial to God is the inscription on the gold, which has to be preserved and observed as the most valuable gift in life. Therefore, it is better for you to go to the Almighty with all your human weaknesses and learned lessons than to be clean and shining, but without inner content and essence, without any gems of wisdom and experience, without anything written and kept inside you.
Coming to the Earth, humans are to be joyful and grateful for what God has written inside them. It does not imply that they have to write themselves, but preserve and take care of what God has originally put in the human soul.
The human being is like a gold coin, on which God has been writing since the beginning of creation. In the process of evolution everyone has sullied and cleansed oneself many times.
The art of conscious being is to purify yourself without scraping off or erasing the precious things written by the Creator within.
Beautiful things are written in all of you. Be careful not to delete them. For example, it is good to delete pride, but not true knowledge, nor the scripts of light and love. Save and use them to illuminate your way and inspire others to go in the Light.
