Being true to your self...
by: Dawn Abraham

Thank you for your question on purpose and getting to know yourself. You mentioned you felt the problem lies within humanity. And then you gave a few reasons what you felt humanity as whole is lacking. Your feeling was, Almost no one will allow themselves to see a different side of things, this meaning your side of things?

What I have found is when you feel something is missing from others it is usually what is missing within you. I know that may be difficult to look at and that may not be what you want to hear but if you stand back and look objectively at your perception of the world, what you are looking through is your own mind. Therefore it is what you perceive that is stopping you not humanity.

Play your music and create your art for you. Be true to yourself and express what you feel deep inside and do not apologize for it or explain it, just express it. Allow it to flow from that place inside that you know is connected to your purpose. When you are connected the feeling that comes with it, is easy and natural not forced or controlled.

Staying true to you is a practice of self awareness and spirituality in itself. I want to share with you the article I wrote on spiritual awareness, which will give you a starting place.

You are right on when you said meditate. One of the best ways to get to know your self is to be still. Practice that stillness. Once you feel that most of the thoughts have cleared away ask yourself, Who am I. And be open for the answer. Ask yourself that question in your mediation until you can feel the answer. That is something Deepak Chopra teaches as well as Eckhart Tolle.

I start my day reading spiritual up lifting books. You can check out my recommendations for the books I recommend to start your day with.

I wish for you all the happiness and success the Universe has to offer.
Love and Light
Dawn
