Hello, From my experience, it doesn't change other people for us. Everyone has their own path and must be allowed to learn at their own pace, in their own time.
Your boyfriend will do as he will. Your job is to live rightly, according to your own truth. If you hold to that and ask of the universe to bring to you a love that is right for you and a love for whom you right, then that puts your request in alignment with honoring the path of everyone (including yourself). The universe will not make someone do something according to your will, but it will put someone one your path who naturally is in alignment with it already. And, most likely, that person will be a catalyst for levels of love and intimacy you've never dared dream of and they may challenge you in ways you never thought possible. This is how our greatest learning and growing happens.
We have to hold everyone with an open palm and when they choose to stay, and we wish them to, then it's by mutual desire and the love that can achieved is beyond measure.
